Ready for 2023

Welcome to Fintastic Females, our adventure to finding the mythical island of freedom together. I’m Kalyani, and I’m Rupali. We are your next-door finance experts, sharing our experiences in the world of money and energetics. Today, let’s dive into how we are getting ready for 2023. With less than four weeks to go, Rupali and I are going to discuss everything that’s on our minds about the upcoming year. It’s going to be a mix of investments, work, and a lot of energetics. Yes, more energetics from my side. As we approach the end of the year, it can get stressful with the corporate perspective, work deadlines, and the overall hustle and bustle.

However, I find it to be the best time of the year because it allows us to set ourselves up for the upcoming year. It’s a time for reflection, taking a step back, and evaluating the year that’s just passed. It’s an opportunity to consider what shifts we want to make in our lives. Personally, I don’t have a strong emotional attachment to the first of January in terms of celebrating the new year. I don’t feel the need to pay exorbitant amounts to be in a specific place or watch a fireworks show. Instead, I prefer a low-key approach. For me, the new year represents a fresh start, a new phase. It prompts me to reset intentions, reflect on the previous year, and get excited about what lies ahead. I share the same perspective as Kalyani. It’s not about setting health goals or resolutions for me. Rather, it’s a celebration of being alive and experiencing another year, especially after the challenges we’ve faced over the past couple of years. It’s a time for celebration, reflection, and charting the course for the next chapter of our lives.

During this time, I focus on being mindful of how I spend my time and energy. I’ve been consciously driving towards a more mindful and intentional lifestyle. This journey started a few years ago when I decided to step away from social media and eliminate unnecessary noise from my life. I’m continually reassessing what adds value and what detracts from it. It’s like a spring cleaning of various aspects of my life, from my photo gallery to the courses I’ve signed up for. I question if they still serve me or if I’m attached to them for the wrong reasons. By letting go of what no longer aligns with my values, I make space for new energy and opportunities. Reflecting on my journey, I realized that I often focused on material achievements and financial goals rather than mental shifts and personal growth.

This year, the theme for me was clarity, and I’ve gained a profound sense of clarity throughout 2022. It’s been a process of decluttering my energy space and aligning with what truly fuels me. As I prepare for 2023, the word stability resonates with me. It stems from my desire to build consistency and consolidate my learnings. It’s about living the learnings, allowing them to seep into my life and guide my actions. To help set intentions for the upcoming year, it’s essential to look back at our lives, take a step back, and consider what we want to achieve. Whether it’s for the next year or a shorter time frame, we can identify the common thread that runs through our goals. This common thread represents our core values, guiding our choices and actions. By aligning our goals with our core values, we create a sense of purpose and direction in our lives. On the topic of work, we’ve come to realize that it doesn’t have to be strictly categorized as work and non-work activities. Instead, we can integrate enjoyable activities into our work and create a holistic approach to our daily lives. We don’t need to wait for weekends or vacations to engage in activities we enjoy.

By incorporating them into our daily routines, we infuse joy and fulfillment into our work lives. We both believe that work should be purposeful and aligned with our values. It’s about finding the intersection between what we love doing, what we’re good at, and what the world needs. When these elements align, work becomes a fulfilling experience, and it doesn’t feel like a burden. It’s an opportunity to contribute, grow, and make a positive impact. As we look ahead to 2023, the financial landscape and investment opportunities come into focus.

We believe it’s crucial to stay informed and aware of the overarching themes in the markets. This involves analyzing the noise, identifying key trends, and understanding the factors driving the markets. By staying informed, we can make informed investment decisions that align with our long-term goals. Diversification is another important aspect of our investment approach. We aim to spread our investments across different asset classes, industries, and geographical regions.

Diversification helps mitigate risk and provides exposure to different growth opportunities. It allows us to navigate the ups and downs of the market with a more balanced portfolio. At the same time, we acknowledge that no investment is entirely risk-free. It’s essential to assess our risk tolerance and invest accordingly. We also emphasize the importance of long-term thinking. Instead of getting swayed by short-term market fluctuations, we focus on our long-term financial goals and stay committed to our investment strategies. In conclusion, as we get ready for 2023, we prioritize mindfulness, intentionality, and authenticity.

We reflect on the past year, set intentions aligned with our core values, and make space for new experiences and opportunities. We integrate enjoyable activities into our work and approach it with purpose and alignment. In terms of investments, we stay informed, diversify our portfolio, and focus on long-term goals. We are excited about what the future holds and are ready to make the most of the year ahead. So, join us on this Fintastic journey as we navigate the waters of finance, energetics, and personal growth. We’re here to support and empower each other, making 2023 the best year yet.
